Description
This diurnal moth is occurs more in central and eastern Europe. It is more active in the afternoon than in the morning. Recognizable to his brown color and small closely set spots on the end of the rear wing.

Size
Wingspan around 25 mm .

Habitat
Mountain meadows, grasslands and areas with light afforestation are preferred.

Foodplants
The caterpillars feed on lichens and herbal young leaves.

Flight season
Early July to late August.

Distribution
Southern and Central Europe, Asia Minor and the Caucasus.
