Description
The colour and body shape of this nudibranch looks very exotic, but its is a
species that can be found much further north, even up to Norway. Its favourite
food is the Bryozoan,
Electra pilosa, but it will also eat other bryozoans. In 1995
it was found in Zeeland for the first time and since then it has been seen
regularly.
Size
Maximum length up to 20 mm.
Colour
The body is white and the tips of rhinophores, cerata and branchial plume are
yellow-orange.
Habitat
Shallow sub littoral.
Distribution
Eastern Atlantic from Norway till Spain and the Mediterranean. Also reported from the kelp beds in South Africa.
