Description
The folded seasquirt probably reached Europe, attaches to a ships hull. The first observation in Europe came from England in 1954. It was 20 years later when it was found in the Netherlands. Today it belongs to the most common sea squirt in Zeeland. The brown vertical stripes around the in- and ex-halent openings are typical. The body is covered with nodules, but because it is often overgrown with other organisms, this can be difficult to see.
