Description
Beatlet anemones can be found between rocks and stones, high in the inter tidal zone and are often overlooked. They tolerate low temperatures. Reproduction is viviparous and most likely it happens by splitting off or cloning internally. There is no proof of any sexual reproduction. In aquaria it has been observed that these animals live to an age of over 60 years. Enemies are forced away by using the blue beads (acrorhagi), that contain large quantities of nematocysts.

Size
The column can reach a height and diameter of 40 mm and the tentacles are maximum 30 mm long.
